Wonderful post! As a newbie, I do have a question though: does viewing your own Substack posts contribute to the view #? Cause I’m pretty sure I’m screwing up my own analytics by obsessively rereading my own posts 😂😭 I guess it’s a good sign I at least enjoy what I’ve written
This was so good! Thank you for sharing what’s working for you. I’m happy to hear that because the whole concept of my page is a public diary 🤣 “ girl fighting the void inside of her on the daily, a girl who’s far too familiar with all her demons to the point she has no problem writing about them in great detail.” This part was my favorite- I resonated so much!!
Amazing piece and found me in the most perfect time of my life. I’ve been so nervous to publicise my passion of writing and this piece has deeply resonated within me. I’ve recently written around the same subject (more of an intro to my page and my insecurity of my lack of talent) but it’s no where near as incredible as yours. Thank you so much for this❤️
That was a relieving read, thank you! I am creating a really unusual niche, combining law, environmental protection, yoga, spirituality… But it’s coming straight from my heart, and that is all that matters. <3
I think similar to your growth on YouTube, consistency is key with growth on here too. I haven't encountered plagiarized articles yet (at least not that I'm aware of), but I have noticed a lot of people using other users' platform to self-promote. It's interesting how you say the rawer, messier articles perform better than your more niche ones. I've also noticed the same thing with other Substack users and have been debating on doing "random" posts mixed in versus sticking to my niche.
For sure consistency is very important that’s why I’m trying to write any free moment I have! And tbh I never get interested when people self promo or cross promo each other, I only ever sub if I read something and it sticks with me so I can’t say how effective those tactics are
I have an inkling that this post is going to break the record for you. And it is truly worth reminding everyone to aspire for authenticity and not copy others for the sake of engagement and being seen. So thank you for the post, Sab.
I vehemently agree! Like I always say, “imitation is not the highest form of flattery-FLATTERY is!” Fantastic piece and I cannot wait to read more.
Honestly, that was my fear with both YouTube and Substack. I felt that because I didn’t want to make “useful” or “helpful” content, no one would care
If it’s useful to you, then it’s defo useful to someone else. Peoole really aren’t so different from eachother
I just randomly came across this article and it was exactly what I needed right now. Amazing work, just subscribed!
Thank you so much Alexa this makes me so so happy 🩵
You’re welcome! I look forward to reading more of your stuff 😊

I don’t know if it does, but I certainly do the same thing sometimes 🤣
And that's something to be proud of no matter what. Write for yourself! Those that are like-minded will follow.
nana live action mention PURRR😫

Embracing unapologetic multi-faceted authenticity in 2025 👏🏻

Ohh good luck ! If there’s one person who is interested in that niche (you) there MUST be others too !
